I am having Onion Bhajjis & Raita with my family!
I am having Crispy Onion Fritters with a Sublime Yoghurt Dip made with Freshly Chopped Exotic Veggies!
Same Dish, Different Descriptions.
I am a born foodie. In times of emergency, others think about money/gold/jewelry/car while I worry about where my next meal is coming from :D Yup, not kidding! I would probably run to save my last piece of sandwich if aliens attacked our planet right now rather than save the human sitting next to me (sorry to the said human but that is probably how it is gonna play out :P). So when I started documenting my food journeys and met more similar minded (or should I say, similar stomached) people, I realized the wide spectrum of food lovers. So there are those (like me) who just care about good food. I can sit in a dhaba, I can sit in a 5 star restaurant, I just care about good food. And it doesn't take much to make my happy. Even a bowl of well-cooked Maggi with some delicious fresh vegetables can elicit a wow from me :D Then there are those who are more educated than me when it comes to technical aspects of food. So they know the various techniques, temperatures and such details. They are the ones who talk about food in different terms like mentioned above :D And then there are those who have travelled the world and know intimately about each type of cuisine, they are at home in the most famous, celebrity-frequented, posh dining places in the world. They know the social etiquette of fine dining inside-out, they know the dishes, they know everything!
No matter which category a food lover belongs to, it is for sure that we all aspire to reach the pinnacle. The ultimate in fine dine! I know I do :) But it is not always easy,is it? Sometimes we hesitate because we are not well versed with various cuisines. I myself grew up in a small town with access to very limited range of cuisines and dishes. And I am one of those people who gets confused with the kind of spoons to be used in each course :P It happens to most of us. Mostly, we hesitate because of price. When an evening of fine dine starts costing a quarter or (gasp!) half of our monthly salary, we have cause to pause. Won't we all love to earn in 7 figures so that we could only fine dine every day? *Sigh* Add to that, when we spend so much on a special evening/occasion, we do not want to order a bad dish that leaves a bad taste in our mouth as well as on our wallets. This has happened to many of us too, hasn't it?
Well, this is where WowTables come in :) They have got a tie-up with various brilliant, famous, celebrity-frequented, award winning fine dine restaurants where we get to feast on their best dishes which are included in a carefully curated menu, without breaking the bank! So we pay a pre-decided (and might I add, very reasonable) price for a fixed menu, where we do not need to worry about which dish to order and whether it would be good/worth it or not! We do not need to worry about anything actually. I know this firsthand because a very good friend of mine gifted me a lunch experience for 2 just last month via WowTables at D'Bell Cafe, Lower Parel, Mumbai.
All I needed to do was call a number, get my appointment confirmed, walk in and enjoy. I did just that. I love how well coordinated WowTables team is. Once I called D'Bell to confirm my appointment, they automatically took over. Haven't we all experienced how many times we have gift vouchers and we walk in somewhere to redeem them and the staff is all clueless? Well, none of that here! My appointment was confirmed, I just walked in with my sister, they knew what to do :D They got us a copy of the fixed menu from which we could choose our dishes for each course, these delicious dishes kept coming, we ate, we enjoyed, the staff worked like clockwork. Now, having lost my precious pics in the Big Pendrive Meltdown I can only show you a copy of the menu as posted online. Here you go-
We chose Mac N Cheese Croquette, Cottage Cheese Salt N Pepper, Eggplant Cannelloni, Thai Red N Green Curry With Rice, Gooey Chocolate, Walnut Brownie and Unlimited sangria. Every dish was perfectly made & beautifully presented, giving us a feel of sitting at one of those Masterchef kitchens where the masters create magic :)
Having had a fantastic experience myself, I have read more about WowTables and am planning on going to multitude of experiences in near future (as soon as I get a little vacation time in office, it's real crazy right now!). WowTables also have a fantastic gourmet points system, so booking of every experience gets us certain points which can later be redeemed for their Gift Cards which can be used for availing free experiences! Is this the best news a foodie can get or what :D Yes, you can click on my referral link HERE and you & I both will get 3000 gourmet points! If you are a real foodie like me, I am sure you will go on to savor many experiences and the points will simply add up like anything :) Just look at the experiences, they are unmissable! And It IS FREE to become a member, you just need a good love for good food!
Now,this is not all. I got the most fantastic news in my inbox today. WowTables is bringing Gourmet Day and there are 150 Complimentary WowTables up for grabs! Yes, take a moment to shriek out loud :D
And all we need to do is THIS-
That's all, Pick, Share, Keep Fingers Crossed, Win :D
