Poetry By Love And Cheesecake | Beautiful Healthy Food | Review

From Smoothies & Sandwiches to Salads & Cheesecakes, Poetry by Love and Cheesecake ensures a gala time for everyone who steps in this beautiful quaint bright palace of deliciousness at Bandra, right opposite Mini Punjab. An Elegant French Bistro-like ambiance enveloped us as we walked in to try out some of their sweet & savory offerings. We had no idea that they focus on authentic preparations which just upped the health quotient of all that we had, along with of course the sinfully indulgent cheesecakes and pastries ensuring that our sweet jaws were content.

With Dark Knight, a wholesome mix of Cacao, Walnut, Oats, Yogurt, Honey and Banana ensuring our evening started on a smooth note, pretty authentic Classic Lemon and Watermelon & Basil Iced Tea lent a refreshing touch. I am not much into iced tea myself and like something denser, so the Dark Knight smoothie is a must-have for me here :)

We tried Tomatillo Gazpacho soup, a cool refreshing concoction of Tomato, Cucumber, Shishito Peppers & Feta which hot soup lovers would take a bit of time to adjust to but would find delicious nonetheless. 

Among Salads, go for Caesar Salad with Romaine Lettuce, Bell Peppers, Olives, Cherry Tomatoes, Cucumber, Parmesan & Romano Cheese with Home Made Caesar Dressing. Very crunchy, fresh flavors, I would like a bit more dressing and the lettuce leaves are huge, so do not be afraid to look like Hulk while eating it :D The flavors come together beautifully in this one as compared to Avocado Kale Salad with Kale, Avocado, Orange, Aged Gouda Cheese, Grated Parmesan and Roasted Garlic Dressing. While it had brilliant fusion of Kale with ample dressing, the proportion of avocado & orange was less making it a bit bland after a while. If this is taken care of, this would be another superb salad option here. 

The star of the evening was Portobello Panino Sandwich with lovely juicy Portobello Mushrooms, Mozzarella, Arugula and Walnuts bringing an explosion of flavors on our palate and the Herb Panini contained it all so well. Very filling for lunch/dinner, extremely delicious, served with small side of house salad and nicely done potato wedges. 

And then there was a choice of desserts for us to go crazy, a beautiful melange of cheesecakes and pastries. Nutella Layered Cheesecake, Salted Caramel Layered Cheesecake and Blueberry Cheesecakes are must-haves as is Devil's Desire, a mix of Belgian Chocolate, Coffe, Caramel and Brownie on a Bar. Salivating much? Have it without a second thought. For tangy lovers, Lemon Tart is a superb option, cream lovers would like Seasonal Fresh Fruits Cheesecake..and you get the idea, there is something for everyone here :) Prices are on the higher side but at this location, this level of quality sort of makes it a necessity.
