Having never been a big tea fan (I know,I know, what a thing to say for an Indian :P) I had no idea about the huge, complex world of tea, with so many varieties, so many different ways of preparation, so many health boosting properties..let's admit it, we have all grown up thinking tea means the milky chai we have seen our parents sip every morning, right? Tea is so much more than that, there is white tea, black tea, green tea..and real tea, the one brewed from tea leaves is so much different from the packaged one, and no, green tea is not supposed to taste like poison! It is facts like these that boggles one's mind when one goes to a place like Tea Trails. I have already been to their Fort outlet for a blogger's table and was very glad to have had the opportunity to be enlightened about the world of teas and how these guys have tried to bring it to life via different kinds of offerings in their outlets. So when my sister and I were in the area recently and had to kill some time before attending an event, we landed up here for some light snacks and of course, tea :D

First off, the address written on Zomato is wrong, it is not near Old Railway Crossing and is rather in the opposite direction. My sister was coming from Andheri in auto and got completely lost because of the wrong directions. She reached the old crossing and nobody there knew anything about Tea Trails. Then she had to call up the outlet 3 different times and every time, they gave a different direction! Beware! It is actually very near the railway station and on the main station road itself, I went without any troubles because I took Uber.

This little fiasco aside, once we reached the outlet, we were really happy because it has a nice vibe with cheerful yet calm ambiance, elegant pictures on the wall, comfortable spacious seating (indoors as well as outdoors) and ofcourse a nice menu with tea as beverages, mocktails and even incorporated in food. Right now, they have got the place especially spruced up due to Christmas & New Year which makes it really beautiful, especially during evenings! Oh, there is free wi-fi also :D

Since we just wanted something light, we started with Detox Tisane which has a healing touch with Turmeric Root, Ginger Root and other such spices and herbs-really good for liver and kidneys! Absolutely love the presentation of how they bring the tea/tisane concoction with a little timer to help us brew it light or strong the way we like it (the staff explains it nicely),

Paired it up with refreshing Cucumber & Cheese Sandwich, delicious with a touch of mint and very cooling which is just what I needed!

My sister tried out Mango Bubble Tea and Better Wife mocktail, the former being flirty with pop-in-the-mouth tapioca bubbles, light and refreshing while the latter had nice, subdued fruity flavors, making us happy without unnecessarily added sugar or flavors :)

Final roll-call was provided by lip-smacking Dutch Truffle pastry with real Belgian Chocolate indulgence, so gooey, so sinful, definitely coming back for this :D

Staff was very polite, fast and efficient (except for the address fiasco in the beginning), prices are reasonable for the experience and quality and it is definitely a place to relax for a long time with a book in hand and some healthy grub at fingertips :)
